Darren and his family spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Harwich Sea Festival on Sunday 26th July. As always the event was well supported by hundreds of locals and visitors. Along with more than 30 stalls and side-shows, Sea Shanty's from Harwich group Golden Rivetts and Various Washes, traditional songs performed from the 150 year-old fishing boat, Excelsior, The Royal British Legion's brass band performing from Decadent, the highlight was the sea rescue demonstration by the Harwich branch of the RNLI. Access to the Boathouse and Harwich Lifeboats was a very informative and popular attraction. As well as being a great family day out the event highlights the importance of the water to Harwich.
