Darren joined Councillor Dave Harris and TLA Governor Nic Evans to collect signatures opposing the current County Council proposals which will shut the Thomas Lord Audley School, the key secondary school for children living in Mersea. Children in Mersea should have the opportunity to be educated locally and not forced into lengthy bus rides across an already congested Colchester town centre.
The signatures have been collected as part of the County Council's consultation process, details of which can be found via the following link; Essex County Council School Proposal Consultation
The consultation period runs from 6th Feb to 13th March, so make sure you have your say.
