Darren Barrenger, community activist and former parliamentary candidate

Darren attended the Alresford Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 02/09 as part of his engagement with the various communities across the Harwich & North Essex Constituency. Although not a stranger to Alresford, he has a number of relatives that live in the village, he believes that understanding the issues within individual communities is a vital part of being a good constituency MP. Darren was asked to update the Council on the Community Reach plans for the Village Cinema Project and also the Hopper Bus project that he is also leading. Darren was impressed with the community minded attitude and approach of the councillors and offered his support to the Skatepark Project currently being championed by Alresford Youth, due to his experience in successfully campaigning for and delivering the skate park in Brightlingsea.
