Darren Barrenger, Labour's Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Harwich & North Essex

Darren meeting some of the 22 students from Blackeberg, Sweden, who are in Harwich from 4th November to 9th November.  The students gathered in the bright sunshine outside the Guildhall in Harwich. Darren gave a talk on the political system within the UK and answered questions. The students then met the Mayor of Harwich, Dave McLeod for a formal welcome before receiving a talk from local historian David Male on the history of Harwich. During their stay the students will have a guided tour of the town by members of the Harwich Society, visit the Police Station, the Haven Authority, the Harwich School and Teen Talk as well as a visit to Colchester.
